The acequia, animated

Flowing marks are agent proposals. Water leaves the ditch only through a headgate, and that gate opens from a human hand.

Acequia with a human headgate A mountain source feeds a main ditch. Proposals travel as marks in the water. A labeled headgate, opened only by a human control, lets flow reach the fields below. S0 SENSE mountain source · always open S2 PROPOSE marks in the ditch S3 PACKAGE why_for_principal S4 GATE human hand · open S5 SETTLE receipts on both sides

S4 is open. Flow reaches the fields.

S0 sense Read public doors. Always allowed. S2 propose Ceiling for automation. An agent may propose. S3 package Why this fits a human, written down. S4 gate A human-authorized headgate decides contact. S5 settle Both sides get receipts. Cadence stays delta-only.

The sheet names S0, S2, S3, S4, and S5; those are the labels on the picture. Click the brass plank or the hand control. The marks pile up when the gate is shut. Reduced motion keeps the picture still.
